The Lemurian Hermitage
A hermit is a person who lives apart from society. Traditionally, this has meant living alone and self-sufficiently, but not always. This House of Solitude is occupied by a Hermit who came from the Lemurian Abbey to connect back to nature and enjoy the serenity and tranquility. She welcome guests. I have a carved statuette of a Happy Buddha, which was given to me many years ago by a co-worker. Your picture reminded me now of this little fellow who sits front and center in a glassed-in cabinet. The Buddha was precious to my friend and co-worker, but for reasons unknown, she wanted me to have it. Shirley Marie was a deep thinker and had powers that I cannot begin to understand. Time and miles intervened and I lost touch with her. I have to believe that she is no longer living because she predicted the date and time of her death, which was, at that time, thirty years in the future. I think about her though, every time I see the little Budda and rub his tummy for luck.

It's funny how objects remind us of people. Intriguing, Vi.
