November Afternoon

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
The city is looking much colder, stern and unforgiving. gone the careful more cheering days of summer. I can scarcely wait for spring. Please no-one tell me about the number of shopping days until Christmas. I'd sooner keep track of the number of days until spring.

When one is cold
How can one be at peace
Unless born to its weather
Wood fires are perhaps
a thing of the past
Families sitting around
in conversation ,long gone
Community now is a taught lesson
A foreign word in some countries
We here are called precinct members or precinct dwellers
The city has become cold
I object and write to tell those
who would call me so
They say it is government speak
I say "I elected you,how dare you call me by those names"

Aletta I hope my warmly knitted pullover arrives soon to keep you smiling....Lois (Muse of the Sea).

Thanks Lois, methinks we think much alike, thee seem to be far to few labour loving humanists left. Every man for himself is not living.
