I could nearly smell the Daphne Moinika......
My 20yr old Daphne bush died at the weekend end....it had run its course and the flowers stayed closed and the leaves fell to the ground...so when I dug it out the roots had died ....
So in its place I planted a Leucodendron, not needing a lot of watering & forever green with pink/red flowers in Spring and Summer...

The smell is like no other. Watery and sweet, beautiful. Sorry to hear yours turned up its toes, Lois, but good to hear you have another beauty in its place;-)

My daphne is doing well and is very close to where we buried Veda. She will enjoy the sweet perfume of this beautiful plant.
