Hello Janie

Embrace the child in frilly white,
caref'lly pacing the candle delight --
do not drip nor breathe too deep,
or loose your place in line again.

Oh Light of Light so portrayed,
ever fragile 'neath angel wings,
and only seen in celebration
of man's birth or death or joining.

We oh and awe at the flick'ring,
reminded some of the flame within;
but also know it is too much work
to keep it lit on lesser days.

Yet, if we know in truth beheld
that all is of birth and joining --
then where is your candle, my friend,
or least a hand to shelter mine?
