Council House 2 - Enlightened Design

They say it can't be done, but there it is, another
quality design project, connecting folks back to nature
right in the city. Praise for the architect, Michael Pearce,
who applied the logic of termite mounds to buildings in
South Africa, and then applied other concepts from nature here.
Bright new thinking, check it out in
Melbourne:
(I don't normally post news things on the blog of
solitude, but I thought this fitted in with the
feel! Creative Energy lives!)

Thank you, Monika, for posting Council House 2 - Enlightened Design. This is a concept that needs to be looked at globally and copied. The technology is available, so why don't we, governments and people alike, think along those lines.

It's the same with automobiles. The technology is there, too, to build environmentally friendly vehicles, but the manufacturers continue to put these gas guzzling behemoths on the road. That is the way it is here in the States anyway. To make matters worse our government makes it inviting tax-wise for businesses to purchase vehicles such as Hummers for their fleets. But don't get me started on that.

Even if it would take forever, at least it's possible!;-)
