Bet you had to lay on your back on the ground to get that first picture. It's a difficult angle to shoot from otherwise, but however you managed it, you got a great image.

I used to get down on my knees or lay flat on the ground, on my belly, for close-up work. Can't do that any more because of a low back problem plus arthritis.

Wish I could share some of the images I got then, but they are all in slides and they don't scan well at all.

I would love to see your pics, Vi. It would be amazing. The world looks different from different angles, and I have never realised this more than lately, and we can alter our perception. This tree taught me a lot, and your comments are always really valuable:-)
